Tin packaging has a very wide range of applications, and the classification is complicated. For example, they may be called 2-pieces tin, seaming tin can, chocolate tins, welded side oil tin can, etc. If this is the first time you decide to use tin box for packing your product, you may feel confused by these names. And act more professional before your supplier. This article will show you tin box category from 4 aspects.

1.From production process From the production process, tin box is mainly classified into two categories. One is the side-lock tin, the other is welded-side tin cans. The side connection method is different between these two tins. For side-lock tin, we'll fold the two ends of tinplate by opposite direction, then hook each other and press tight by punching machine. For welding can, we'll connect the ends of the side by welding. Most candy tins, chocolate tins, tea tins, coffee tins, wine cans, cigarette tins, cosmetic tin box belong to side-lock tins. While oil tins, milk powder tins, motor tins belong to welded-side tin.

2.According to the structure of tin box According to structure, tin box can be divided into drawn cans, seam-bottom tins and buckle-bottom cans. Drawn-tins mean the tin's body and bottom come from same sheet of tinplate, and the body is drawn out by the bottom's material. For the other two, The body and bottom are separate, after forming, we use different ways to connect the body & bottom. Below pictures show the difference.

3.From the shape of tin box According to the shape of tin box, there are round tins, square cans, rectangular cans, heart-shaped tins, tree-shaped meta tin, book-shaped tin cans, bus-shape tin, etc. Unlike other material, it's very flexible to make special shapes on tin box, Basically, we can realize any shape in our imagination. 4. According to the use of tin box In terms of the use of tin boxes, there is a very wide application. For example: candy tins, biscuit tins, chocolate tins, tea tins, coffee tins, cigarette tins, wine tins, oil tins, milk powder tins, beverage tin can, etc. Almost all products can be packed by tin packaging. And because it is completely environment-friendly, easy to print and be made into various shapes, it becomes a very popular packaging these years.
